Dear esteemed members of our university community and visitors.
Welcome to the Directorate of Physical Planning and Project Management, Vice Chancellors Office, University of Ibadan.
It is my pleasure to welcome you to the official page of. Our Unit plays a vital role in shaping the physical landscape of our esteemed institution, and ensuring that our campus infrastructure meets the highest standards of functionality, aesthetics, and sustainability. The Directorate of Physical Planning and Project Management is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the university's physical development, from conception to completion. Our dedicated team of professionals works tirelessly to oversee new construction projects, renovations, and ongoing maintenance of our campus facilities.
Some of our key responsibilities include; Coordinating all preliminary work on new projects, including site selection, surveying, and implementation of the University Master Plan; Liaising with user departments to develop comprehensive project briefs that meet their specific needs; Ensuring all designs and constructions comply with university standards and National Universities Commission requirements; Managing relationships with external consultants and contractors to deliver high-quality projects on time and within budget; Overseeing the entire project lifecycle, from initial planning and design through to completion and handover; Providing expert advice on all aspects of physical planning and development to university leadership.
Our Directorate takes pride in creating and maintaining a campus environment that fosters academic excellence, innovation, and community engagement.
